One response to that pressure is a modular building under
construction in the heart of Skid Row.
Skid Row Housing Trust is now building ‘The Star Apartments’
using modular construction. 102 pre-fabricated modular apartment units will be
located on top of a concrete foundation. The building is one of the first of
its kind. By having each individual apartment built off-site by Guerdon Modular

The Trust was able to keep construction costs low.
