The future belongs to offsite and modular housing. That’s a fact, Jack! The foreign offsite housing community realizes that the US is the place where offsite is lagging behind the rest of the world and is ripe for the taking by foreign companies.

As proof, another modular factory has just signed the paperwork for a factory in Waukegan, IL.
PrefabPads LLC produces high-end modular homes (or ADUs “accessory dwelling units”) known as MyCabins. They are completely built and finished within the factory before being placed on trucks for delivery across North America.
The cabins have a Scandinavian design aesthetic and come in three different models that can be used individually as a small home, an office space, and a sauna unit. All three also work cohesively together as a matching set for one property or can be installed individually.

The My Milla home includes a kitchen, bathroom and living space and starts at $81,000. The My Kalmus is meant to be used as an office or additional living space for $46,000, and the My Galia sauna provides solitude and relaxation plus a storage space for around $37,500.
The 28,000 sq ft building has 24-foot clear height ceilings and oversized drive-in doors, both of which were essential for the larger products PrefabPads is creating. PrefabPads took occupancy of the space in June and is already producing homes from the facility.
