In the wake of the devastating fires that have ravaged Maui, our hearts go out to the families and communities affected by this tragedy.
As a commercial modular builder, Guerdon is committed to making a positive impact by reaching out to share their expertise and offer support in rebuilding the housing infrastructure that has been lost. They believe that collaboration is key in times of crisis, and they’re reaching out to everyone to help them spread the word and connect with those who could help us extend our assistance to the people of Maui.
Guerdon has developed three innovative housing solutions that could play a crucial role in rapidly restoring shelter and hope to the affected individuals:

4-Person Sleeper Units: Guerdon’s pre-built 65-foot by 12-foot modules offer four individual living units, each resembling a small hotel room equipped with all essential amenities – a bed, bathroom, closet, desk, and HVAC system. These units are not only ready for deployment but are also fire-sprinkled and designed for easy transport and relocation. They provide dignified living spaces that can be swiftly set up to offer displaced individuals a safe and sturdy structure to call home.

Expandable Communal Living Facility: Ideal for housing the workforce dedicated to rebuilding the community, this relocatable housing facility features individual bedrooms with shared communal dorm-like bathroom and kitchen facilities. The modular design allows for quick deployment and expansion, accommodating any number of people. With a track record of successful deployment in remote locations, this solution offers both immediate support and long-term flexibility.
Multi-story Turnkey Housing: This Turnkey Supportive Housing Solution transforms vacant land into permanent or relocatable housing quickly and affordably. By utilizing standardized plans and modular construction, this option cuts the lengthy design process, delivering a turnkey solution that maximizes occupancy on any given piece of land. This adaptable approach fits various parcel sizes and enables growth, repurposing, and phased development.
Guerdon understands the urgency of the situation and the importance of timely action. While each of these solutions has different timelines, all of them are designed to expedite the housing recovery process:
The 4 Person Sleeper Units are ready for deployment now, and they can be on a barge to Hawaii within days and have heads on beds in mere weeks.
The Expandable Communal Living Facility can be procured within 6 weeks, followed by rapid construction of up to 4 modules per day. The delivery to a US port and subsequent barge transportation takes approximately 3 weeks. This option could have heads on beds in 2 to 3 months.
The Multi-story Turnkey Housing solution offers flexibility in timeline with modular construction expediting the build process. Key tasks such as permitting, procurement, site foundations, shipping, and final setup can be expedited to see heads on beds in 6 to 9 months.
Guerdon believes in the power of community and shared efforts, and they invite you to join them in spreading the word about these housing solutions that can provide real relief to those who have lost so much.
Guerdon is the leading manufacturer of large-scale, commercial modular construction projects in the Western US and Canada. Guerdon’s modern, innovative modular technology combines on-site construction with precise off-site factory assembly line production. Traditional schedules are shortened substantially because modular units are constructed in our factory-controlled environment while site work and foundation construction are completed concurrently.
