Simplex Modular, located in Scranton, PA, recently built 3 Nurse Pods for “Nurse Pod Incorporated” a Long Island NY company.
A NursePod is a remote turn-key school nurse facility solution to assist in safely re-opening educational facilities. It is to supplement Nurse Services by adding a remote, safe, hygienic space to isolate persons with COVID-19 symptoms.
The Nurse Pods were purchased by the Glencoe School district located on Long Island New York.
As schools prepare to re-open, a key concern districts face is to provide isolation spaces to reduce the risk of transmission. In response to guidance from Health, ASHRAE and Government agencies; NursePod provides a code-compliant on-campus facility that is located remotely from the main building(s) to protect students, staff and all building occupants.
Constructed as a modular structure, this provides for fast turnaround and avoids costly and time-consuming existing building alterations and related construction issues.
