This one surprised me a bit since the news is filled with affordable housing projects being built everywhere. However, the majority of the offsite industry doesn’t appear to be taking the bait these mass-produced very low-profit housing developers are dangling in front of them.
Is Your Company Finally Getting a Handle on Building Material Shortages?
YES 26.4%
NO 73.6%
The material shortages facing the offsite industry simply won’t go away based on this poll question. Lots of reasons are being put forth to explain the problems but apparently very few solutions are coming in according to my readers.
How Many Job Openings Does Your Company Currently Need to be Filled?

The lack of workers wanting to work in every industry is staggering since the pandemic started. Every explanation known to man has been given as to why but the bottom line is the offsite and modular industries continue to suffer.
Will New Home Owners Continue to Pay More for Green, Sustainable and Energy Efficiency?
YES 44.8%
NO 55.2%
Do the results of this question imply new home buyers are simply getting tired of paying thousands of dollars for these features or are these features adding so much to the cost of new construction that they can’t afford them?
And that seems to be the real question.
