Not all modular component manufacturers supply housing, schools and hotels. Sometimes a modular company simply supplies a better way of doing something that can be easier to build offsite.

That is what Epsilon Industries, a Canadian-based leader in the Off Site Construction (OSC) industry does by delivering mechanical/electrical-centric systems in a modular, pre-fabricated form, optimized for a streamlined on-site completion by them or others.

Epsilon has been designing and manufacturing complex mechanical and electrical systems in a modular, packaged format for more than two decades and has grown from traditional welding and assembly processes to today’s state-of-the-art fabrication equipment and best-in-class manufacturing methodologies, utilizing over 100,000 sq. ft. of production space.

Now they’ve announced it will invest about $3 million into a new Tuscaloosa manufacturing facility.

The off‐site construction system manufacturer plans to hire up to 180 people.

The Tuscaloosa County Economic Development Authority and Epsilon announced Thursday that the facility, to be located in an existing building in the Tuscaloosa County Airport Industrial Park, should begin production by the beginning of May.

Epsilon expects to hire positions such as boilermakers, pipefitters, pipe welders, structural welders, electricians, mechanical and electrical engineers and general laborers.
