Modular homebuilder Method Homes announces its prefab home
Paradigm I will be on display at Dwell on Design (DOD) in
Magazine’s annual conference and the country’s largest convention on modern
design taking place at the
Angeles
from June 20–22. The home will be displayed as the jc penney Prefab Home,
showcasing new designer home collections by Jonathan Adler, Sir Terence Conran,
and Dwell on Design’s keynote speaker and legendary designer Michael Graves.
The display home designed by Bogue Trondowski Architects is
a prototype for the Paradigm Series, a new line of prefab homes built by Method
Homes.
At just 722 square feet, the modular home demonstrates how
the efficiency of living within a small footprint can be blended with the
comfort of modern amenities. “Paradigm is a series that reflects Method’s core
mission of building homes that are both thoughtfully designed and sustainably
built,” says Method Homes co-founder Brian Abramson. “The series maximizes
efficiencies – from the construction process to day-to-day living.”
Each Paradigm home comes standard with exterior rigid
insulation, triple paned windows, a heat pump hot water heater, heat recovery
ventilation, and LED lighting. The net-zero energy ready prototype home
features a vast array of sustainable and energy-efficient upgrades, including
locally-sourced Western Red Cedar siding, a corten steel brow to regulate
heating and cooling loads, FSC bamboo hardwood floors and cabinets, eco
recycled countertops, ENERGY STAR rated appliances, and a highly efficient HVAC
system.
