The man at the helm of Signature Building Systems from the day he turned over the first shovel of dirt for his new factory in Moosic, Pa and guided it for decades through both the gravy years of the modular housing industry and the worst housing recession in almost 100 years has decided that he needs to take a break from steering the ship.

In a letter sent to builders he stated:

“After spending the last 44 plus years in this industry and surviving 4 economic downturns in the housing industry and economy I have decided that it is time to step down as President and CEO of Signature Building Systems. I was lucky enough to be able to start Signature almost 25 years ago and I have to think about this company’s future, so putting in place a solid succession plan is extremely important to me and my fellow employees.”

The management team going forward will be Craig Landri serving as President with oversight of Production, Logistics, Purchasing, Pricing and Strategic Development and Jay Bradley will become Vice President of Signature and presiding over Sales, Marketing, New Business Development, Engineering and Service.

When I talked with Vic today I asked if this meant he was going to turn Pro in golf. I could almost see the smile.

Vic earned the S. A. Walters Award a few years back from the NAHB’s Building Systems Council for his dedication to the modular housing industry and his work in the BSC.

From all of us in the modular housing industry, we wish you long drives and short putts for a long time.
